Our Landscape Photography Course has recently been updated and given a facelift. Since the last update of this course a few things have changed in photography, in particular with digital media. This has been addressed in this new version of the course.
When the last update of the course took place, digital cameras were not the recommended media for capturing good quality landscape photographs. Information on using digital cameras in this course was very limited. Now digital cameras have improved to such an extent, they would be a suitable media for serious landscape work. Therefore the course now includes much more detailed use of digital cameras when shooting landscapes.
For those currently taking our Landscape course they can simply log-in and the new course material is there. Current users will also find many new images and a few other changes designed to further enhance their learning experience.
To learn how to take top quality professional landscape images using both digital and film cameras, enroll in our new Landscape Photography Course. Simply go to http://www.schoolofphotography.com/fees
The updated basic photography course is now available. Please note that it is NOT necessary to have a Digital SLR to follow the course. Any camera, film or digital that allows manual control may be used for the course as most of the techniques apply to all cameras.
Existing students will be able to follow the new course automatically, some lesson numbers may have changed however. If you are still viewing the previous version (v.4.0) please go to the login page, then before logging in, refresh the page by using the shift + refresh button (on PC’s). Then login as normal and you will see a new layout for the course with module navigation to the top left, lesson navigation on the bottom left and the course content in the main area.

The amount of images submitted for projects are quite substantial and sometimes a few will stand out from the crowd. These are the types of images that make it into our Student Gallery. Here are two photos that stood out from the crowd and have been chosen for the Student Gallery.
Pencils by Jacqueline Georgiou
Jacqueline is currently doing our Digital Photography Course and had previously completed our Basic Photography Course. This image was chosen from her first Digital Photography Project. There is no need for explanation as to what caught the eye in this image. The strong colours and simple shapes are an immediate eye catcher.
City Reflections by Merran Jones
It can be quite difficult to isolate a subject in a city environ. However Merran has come up with a nice clean photo of this building and the reflection. No digital enhancements were carried out in this image and the distortions were created by the glass. Merran is a Basic Photography student and she entered this photo as part of her second project.
